Tonya Morrow, beloved daughter, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on 03/25/2024 at Duke University Hospital. A native of Alamance Co., she was born on 07/23/1963 to Eugene Hal Morrow (deceased) and Alice Anderson Morrow.

Tonya's life was a testament to her unwavering faith and love for her family. She was a devoted member of Bethsada Baptist Church, where she found strength and community in her spiritual journey. Her passion for reading the Bible and engaging in deep discussions about its verses with friends and family was evident in every aspect of her life. She cherished spending quality time with her beloved mother and brother, making every moment count.

A graduate of Southern Alamance High School in 1980, Tonya pursued her love for animals by studying zoology at NC State University. She dedicated herself to caring for animals and volunteered at numerous animal shelters in Alamance and Orange County for many years. Tonya's compassion extended beyond animals; she also attended Leon's Beauty School in Cosmetology, where she honed her skills and shared her talent with others.

In addition to her academic and professional pursuits, Tonya explored her interest in modeling at the John Robert Power Academy. Her grace and poise captivated those around her, leaving a lasting impression wherever she went.

Tonya found joy in the simple pleasures of life. She was an avid fisherwoman, finding solace and excitement in the great outdoors. Her commitment to health and wellness led her to embrace regular exercise, energizing her spirit and body.

Tonya's love for nature was reflected in her favorite flower, the sunflower. Every year, she delighted in planting sunflowers, watching them bloom as a symbol of hope and renewal.

Tonya Morrow will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Her gentle spirit, kind heart, and unwavering faith have left an indelible mark on the lives of those she touched. Though she may no longer be with us, her memory will live on in the beauty of nature, the warmth of cherished memories, and the love she shared with everyone she met.

Survivors include her mother, Alice Anderson Morrow; her brother Hal Ellington Morrow; sister-in-law Jennifer Hill Morrow; niece Jasmine Nicole Hill; Aunts: Laura Morrow, Dr. Anna Bass, Dorothy Morrow, Cleoria "Kee" Williams, Uncle: Ray Anderson. She was proceeded in death by Father: Eugene Hal Morrow, Brother: Bryan Maurice Morrow.

A funeral service will be held at 3:00 PM on Saturday April 6, 2024, at Bethsada Baptist Church in Mebane with the Pastor Thane Morrow officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Public viewing for Tonya will be held on Thursday April 4 and Friday April 5, 2024, from 9:00 AM until 6:00 PM at the McClure Funeral Home in Mebane.
