Emily "Gen" G. Lee

Mrs. Emily G. “Gen” Lee, 88, of Mebane, NC, passed away on Wednesday May 16, 2018 at the Presbyterian Home of Hawfields. A native of Dillon County, SC, she was the daughter of the late Vance Dewey Faulk and Hattie Drew Faulk Hewitt. She was known for being a hard working woman and a devote wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend to many. She was the backbone of her family. She and her husband John loved their time together at the beach and would take a trip any chance they got. She was a member of the Lamb’s Chapel where she loved her Church family. Survivors include her husband of 69 years, John S. Lee, of the home; son, Robert K. Lee and Wife Sharon, of Ringgold, VA; 11 grandchildren and many loving great grandchildren, nieces and nephews; her special family friend, Angie Bass. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughters, Brenda Kingsland and Teresa Sharpe; a son, Tommy Lee Page; grandson, Tony Rice and her loving brothers and sisters. A Funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday May 19, 2018 at the McClure Funeral Home Chapel in Mebane with the pastor Ken Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 PM on Friday May 18, 2018 at McClure in Mebane and other times at the residence of the family.
